Work with me because you want to be with a coach that is going to partner with you and stretch you. Hiring a life coach was personally transformational for me in starting a community group. That experience led me to becoming one when I decided to make a career change. I'm an entrepreneur, and have always leaned that way. I learned that what I find most satisfying is my commitment to honoring who I am and what I am about. Over the years,
Hiring a life coach was personally transformational for me in starting a community group. That experience led me to becoming one when I decided to make a career change. I'm an entrepreneur, and have always leaned that way. I learned that what I find most satisfying is my commitment to honoring who I am and what I am about. Over the years, I've shown consistency in my love for helping others grow to their fullest potential as well. I attest, we are more likely to lead others with compassion and honor their dignity when we practice that of ourselves. Animate Life Coaching emerged to express me fully, in that helping bring fully to life, (animate) another person's life, would be most satisfying and from experience knowing their growth will have exponential impact. Are you ready to animate your life!?

Unchallenged thoughts become the challenge from which you create! ~Susan Husa
Susan moved to Seattle at an early age to escape small town living with a vision of having more opportunities to live the life she imagined. She attributes her entrepreneurial spirit as her main drive--always inspiring and serving her in envisioning possibilities. With aspirations of modeling and working to pay for her education, she was denied from modeling agencies informing her the school she attended had a bad reputation of producing poor quality portfolios. Discouraged from all her hard work, she ditched the idea altogether. Realizing her heart was not into the idea of modeling after all, she remains grateful for the personal growth.
Eager to continue creating the life she dreamed of, a life-changing shift happened, she was invited to work as an office manager. That invitation launched her into more opportunities of personal and professional development. Shortly thereafter she moved to California for love, only to be disappointed that it was not truly her heart's desire to live there, nor continue on with her relationship -- Seattle area became home, once again.
Living the dream of working on the east side of Seattle she worked full time while attending City University launching her into a Sales and Marketing Director's position for a start-up company. She was loving life! She thrived building her skills in personal and professional development. Building a start-up with a group of trainers and consultants in management development, Susan was living a life of fulfillment! Building relationships, hosting an exclusive networking group, representing many trainers and consultants, and understanding her client's organization's needs to connect each with the other was invigorating! Results and balance were in full swing in all aspects of her life.
She moved on using what she learned to start up her own marketing business. With marriage now on the horizon, Susan was ready to make a change. It wasn't long before she came to realize her next phase of a professional dream as Homemaker. While managing her home was her number one priority she served her community by volunteering with many organizations affecting her children's growth. One of her most rewarding volunteer positions was being the visionary and co-leader of a professional Mom's Group. The purpose: Help moms be their best! She wanted moms to see themselves as professionals and be educated just like she was with her prior position by attending conferences and networking events. She brought many people, businesses, local governments and a church together to provide a free place for moms, whom she views as professionals, to network, experience personal and professional growth, while connecting with local businesses, government officials, and each other. Unexpected circumstances required her to work full time ending her enjoyment with Moms of Encompass.
"Stepping into what you fear may not always be the right thing to do, but with a sensible approach, and a desire to experience and promote growth, pushing through the space you haven't experienced, always requires some help in some form."
Accepting a position as Member Services Manager with the idea of considering Executive Director at the local Chamber of Commerce she burnt out quickly with the demands. She did manage to help bring the organization back to being organized and well-functioning. As a one-man show and also overseeing the local Visitor Center, which she hired temporary employees for in the high demand season of over 1 million visitors to the world-famous Snoqualmie Falls, the demands of the position needed an overhaul as did the whole office. Near the end of her time there, the move of the office was the perfect opportunity to place only what was needed at the new office to make it fully functional for it to flourish. Ridding many expectations of the role that at one time was accomplished with five employees, and ridding the office of years of accumulation, Susan left the organization authoring a handbook of best practices.
With the desire to engage in work that would satisfy a core purpose, the idea of being a life coach sparked a desire to do what she could not NOT do. Susan attended Co-Active Training Institute which provides in-person experiential learning and is now embracing her skills with her clients. As lifelong learning embraces her creativity, she will continue to develop her business as a life coach.
She and her husband have raised two responsible young adults now continuously developing themselves with a life-long learning approach. Life coaching is a means for Susan to live out her purpose of helping others live out their life with purpose. She grounds herself by faith, loves being with family and friends, gardening in her flip flops, creating with watercolors, being outdoors, boating, entertaining, and providing hospitality. Non-fiction is her go-to and creativity is evident in her cooking, decorating, and her life coaching business.
If you were to ask her, "What is one thing that people might be inspired to hear about from you?" Ask her to tell you about her boating experience on a 24' boat with 3 adults and 5 children that journeyed from Anacortes, Washington up to Ketchikan, Alaska.
If that doesn't inspire you, perhaps you may want to ask her, "What is the hardest challenge you've ever faced?" She'll tell you it was when she left the small town farming community and moved to Seattle, WA with $100 in her pocket, a sleeping bag for her bed, a space on the floor of her sister's studio apartment, and a window of two weeks to find a job to collect a paycheck for the rent that would be due. She was hired on the spot as a hostess at the place she wanted most yet resisted each day, the place that intimidated her most.
And furthermore, Susan would ask you many questions, now as a coach, to help you uncover and identify all that you would like to pursue, overcome, be adventurous about, and explore. Stepping into what you fear may not always be the right thing to do, but with a sensible approach, and a desire to experience and promote growth, pushing through the space you haven't experienced, always requires some help in some form.
